RED HOT TEAM

Louise Oldman | Aby Bery | Natalie Milner
Rob Evans | Paul Itta | Graeme Mitchell | Alex Curtis
Kathryn Tilling | Samantha Webb | Jeanette Talbot

Louise Oldman

With a BA Hons in Drama and a life long passion for the Arts, Louise has had a varied amateur theatre career both on stage and in the director’s chair. Her recent accomplishments include co-directing Hopes & Dreams (a production with an amateur and professional cast of 120 adults and children) and being both the writer and director of Red Hot’s award-winning production, ‘Think’.

In her acting roles, Louise has portrayed everything from Caprice, a flapper girl from the 1920’s, and Viola in ‘Twelth Night’, to Alan Bennett’s Doris in ‘A Cream Cracker Under The Settee’. Louise is also no stranger to the Edinburgh fringe. She’s acted and stage managed for a number of productions over the years, but thankfully for Red Hot Theatre, she keeps coming back.

Aby Bery

With theatre as her first love, Aby has acted and directed for professional and amateur groups in the local area for many years. Aby recently directed Louise Page’s ‘Tissue’ for a charity night at Norden Farm, a production that went on to win the award for best overall play in the Maidenhead Drama Festival and second-place positioning in the prestigious All England Drama Festival semi-final. Other directing achievements include: ‘Cigarettes and Chocolate’, which raised money for the London run in May 2001 and was entered into the Maidenhead Drama Festival; ‘The Ruffian on the Stair’; ‘Lovers’ (Winners & Losers) and ‘Strangers’. Her acting credits cover Phoebe (As You Like It), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Ruby (When We Are Married), Bianca (The Taming of the Shrew), Debbie (End of the Food Chain) and many a dumb blond in Panto! (…oh no she hasn’t!).

Natalie Milner
After taking on many a starring role in school productions, Natalie went on to find wider fame following her stint as a presenter of Jackanory on cable TV. Having taken on many roles over the years, her acting credits range from Lorna in ‘Cigarettes and Chocolate’ and Elvira in ‘Blithe Spirit’, to many a part in Panto (the most recent being the role of Principle Boy in Maidenhead Drama Guild’s production of Aladdin). A founder member of Red Hot Theatre, she most recently played the demanding role of Sally in the group’s award-winning production of ‘Tissue’. Dealing with a young woman’s battle with breast cancer, the production subsequently went on to take first place in the Maidenhead Drama Festival. Now stepping off the stage and into the director’s chair, Red Hot Theatre are pleased to see Natalie making her directorial debut with Bouncers.

Rob Evans

Rob first joined Red Hot Theatre in a technical capacity, helping to produce a short film for ‘Think’ that was projected during the course of the play. Equally at home in both the limelight or backstage, Rob has been involved with amateur dramatics in the High Wycombe area for about four years. Always one to muck in, his talents range from set building and sound production to publicity and acting. When not involved with drama, he can usually be found dangling from dangerously large kites, chilling out with a drum or kicking a football about.

Paul Itta

Paul is 34 (never!) and works as a stock controller for an IT reseller firm. He’s been a member of the Binfield Bards for over seven years, in which time he has played various roles ranging from the venerable Badger in ‘The Wind in the Willows’ to Oliver’s cruel and nasty Bill Sykes. Paul has also worked with a number of other amateur groups with his acting credits including Slim, the sympathetic ranch foreman in Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice & Men’ (with Cal B Productions) and the anarchic skinhead Mickey in ‘Hooligans’.

Paul gained true thespian status with the Maidenhead Drama Guild, having a chance to get his teeth into a number of Shakespearean roles in productions such as ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’. He is currently working with Red Hot Theatre on their latest production of ‘Bouncers’, taking on the role of Lucky Eric in John Godber’s no-nonsense look at the life of a doorman. Following this production, Paul says he’s going to find a dark room somewhere and hide for a while (umm… believe that when we see it).

Graeme Mitchell

Graeme has been involved in amateur dramatics for the past couple of years. His acting credits include Allistair in Anthony Minghella’s 'Cigarettes & Chocolate' and a supporting role in the Maidenhead Drama Guild’s production of 'Anthony & Cleopatra’. In November last year, he also played William Roper in the Maidenhead Players’ production of ‘A Man for All Seasons'.
Graeme’s other accolades include helping to kick start 'Red Hot Theatre' in 2002 and then going on to feature in the group’s award-winning 'Think', a piece written and directed by Red Hot’s very own Louise Oldman. Currently rehearsing as Judd in John Godber’s 'Bouncers', he takes on a role that he admits to be his most challenging to date. Graeme’s pastimes include watching football, playing football and socialising in the pub (may include occasionally talking about football). A varied social life as you can see.

Alex Curtis

Although this is Alex’s first production with Red Hot Theatre, his acting credits stretch way back. With rave reviews following his portrayal of Joseph (School Nativity, 1979), he then went on to play a number of challenging parts in other seasonal productions. Having spent some time away from amateur dramatics, we’re pleased to see him making his return to the stage with Red Hot Theatre.

Kathryn Tilling

Kathryn danced her way onto the scene at an early age, having performed in dancing school shows and competitions for as long as she can remember. In more recent times, she's worked with the Rainbow School of Dance and the Chiltern Academy and has also been involved both on and off stage with 'young theatre'. Bringing her skills in both dancing and hair and make-up, this interest led her to a career in Theatrical & Media Make-up. As well as training to be a lecturer in the subject at local colleges of Art & Design, she has since worked on a number of exciting projects such as pop videos for PMI and a BAFTA award-winning film. A star indeed! Kathryn also uses these skills in the world of television, offering everything from wig design and special effects to polishing up the presenters ready for the camera.

Samantha Webb

Samantha started dancing at the tender age of four, trying her hand at everything from modern, jazz and tap, to ballet and drama during her time at the Jeanine Greville Dancing Academy. Samantha was then herself involved in teaching young dancers, spending much of the six years prior to heading off to university teaching four to eight year-olds. Over the past years, she's been involved in various acting/dancing productions with her credits including 'Wind in the Willows' and 'The Boyfriend', to name just two. Past achievements include being a member of the Berkshire Youth Choir and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and having appeared in various radio and TV performances for both. She's been on two promotional World tours with the National Youth Choir and can take at least some of the credit for the release of two CDs of their music during her time there.

Jeanette Talbot

Amongst her many other credits, Jeanette recently played a politician (and others) in Red Hot Theatre’s award-winning production of ‘Think’. She’s also a familiar face at the Maidenhead Drama Guild, taking on roles such as Helena in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Gail in ‘Cigarettes and Chocolate’ and a part in ‘Shakers’, the female version of ‘Bouncers’. Playing one of the dancers and co-ordinating the choreography for this production puts Jeanette on real home territory as by day, she’s a dance teacher and choreographer.
